patients. This should therefore be taken into account before deciding
to use the drug.
- Cannabis
consumption can affect concentration and reactive capacity. Driving
or the use of dangerous machines should therefore be avoided after consuming
the drug. If it is essential to drive, then the patient should first
wait at least two and a half hours after inhaling the drug, or four
to five hours after ingesting the product.
- The
psychological side effects can include panic episodes. It is advisable
to be in the company of someone when using the drug for the first time.
- Cannabis
produces toxic combustion products such as carbon monoxide and certain
carcinogens.
- The
drug should not be used during pregnancy or lactation.
- Before
consuming cannabis, it is very important to know about and compare any
concurrent medication being used.
